The San Antonio Rampage needed a win today in San Jose to salvage a split in their first trip to the West Coast. Despite dominating, yet trailing, most of the game, they got it, defeating San Jose 3-2. A late power play goal by Andrew Agozzino earning the two points and getting the Rampage back on the winning side of .500.

Spencer Martin was sharp when he needed to be, stopping 16 of 18 shots to pick up his second straight victory. On offense, the Rampage were led by Agozzino (1g-1a), Rocco Grimaldi (1g-1a), and Blues D prospect Jordan Schmaltz (2A). Joe Colborne added a huge power play goal to tie the game in the 3rd, deflecting a Schmaltz shot past Barracuda goalie Antonine Bibeau.

Special teams played the biggest part in the victory as the PK went 5/6, including a huge kill on a 2 minute 5 on 3 in the second, and the power play scored twice in four chances. The power play goal against was the team’s first allowed in 14 chances this season.
